Welcome to the Harvard University Lindy Hop Student Group—Harvard’s home for swing dance enthusiasts of all backgrounds and skill levels! Our club is dedicated to sharing the tradition of Lindy Hop, a jazz dance born in Harlem’s Savoy Ballroom in the 1920s-40s. We honor and celebrate Lindy Hop’s legacy as an iconic African American art form that continues to inspire dancers and build communities around the world. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned dancer, we invite you to join us for lively lessons, social dances, and (hopefully!) special workshops throughout the year. No partner or prior experience required—just bring your curiosity and excitement to learn!
